The 11th West Virginia Infantry Regiment lost 4 officers and 63 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded and 148 enlisted men to disease during the Civil War.

Organized at Wheeling, Elizabeth, Burning Springs, Parkersburg, Ravenswood, Kanawha Station and Point Pleasant, W. Va. At Ceredo and Parkersburg, W. Va. Duty at Parkersburg and guarding Baltimore & Ohio Railroad through counties south of line from Jackson County to Lewis County.
