Commanded by Lieutenant Chandler R. Eakin, the battery brought six 12 Pounders to the field and lost 1 enlisted man killed, Lieutenant Eakin and 7 enlisted men wunded and 1 man missing. Lieutenant Philip D. Mason took command when Lieutenant Eakin was severely wounded.
