Moved by rail to Chambersburg and duty there as part of Patterson's Deparment of Pennsylvania, where Colonel William Irwin arrived to take command

The ladies of Chambersburg presented the regiment with a national flag.

To Greencastle and on to Camp Williams

At Camp Williams. Attached to Williams' 3rd Brigade, Cadwalader's 1st Division, Patterson's Army

Advance through Hagerstown and on to Williamsport

Forded the Potomac and marched to Martinsburg
